DAY TRIPS ON THE GANGA

We have been operating these trips since 1988. Some of our senior guides have seen the changing landscape in standards of safety, equipment and tourism on the Ganga since then. Whether there are 50 rafts on the river on the day of your trip or one raft, we will make your trip special for you!

We do not run single craft trips. There will be either a safety kayaker or another raft. Our rafting equipment meets with International standards. Our guides are licensed by UTDB and are trained in Wilderness First Aid and CPR. They have a minimum of 5 years of guiding on the Ganga. Our guides are bilingual and can give the Safety Briefing in Hindi and English.

We offer 5 major day trips on the Ganga. You may sign up for one or all of them or a combination of two.

TRIP 1

Marine drive to shivpuri

DISTANCE : 12 kms
TIME : 2-3 hrs.Depending on river levels and including time for Safety Briefing. Level of
RAPIDS : Grade 2+ - Grade 3 depending on water levels and time of year.
RAPIDS : Three Blind Mice, Cross Fire, Body Surfing, Good Day
MINIMUM AGE GROUP : 14 yrs

TRIP 2

DISTANCE : 15 kms
TIME : 2-3 hrs. Depending on river levels and including time for Safety Briefing. Level of
RAPIDS : Grade 2+ - Grade 3 depending on water levels and time of year.
RAPIDS : Good Day, Double Trouble, Return To Sender, Roller Coaster, Golf Course
MINIMUM AGE GROUP : 14 yrs.

TRIP 3

TRIP 5

DISTANCE : 35 kms approx.
TIME : 2-3 hrs. 4-5 hrs. Depending on river levels and including time for Safety Briefing.
LEVEL OF RAPIDS : Grade 2+ to 4 depending on water levels and time of year.
RAPIDS : Daniel’s Dip, The Wall, Three Blind Mice, Crossfire, Body Surfing, Good Day, Return to Sender, Roller Coaster, Double Trouble, Golf Course
MINIMUM AGE GROUP : 14 yrs.

DAY HIKES

There are some wonderful long and short hikes in our area. Some hikes lead to nearby villages and give a glimpse of life in a hill village. Other longer hikes lead through wilderness areas of mixed forests of rhododendron, oak and pine to secluded meadows and high points from where it is possible to get a view of the snowcapped Garhwal range. One of our guides always accompany the hike.
